How Much Does Bridal Makeup Cost in NYC? A Real Pricing Guide

How Much Does Bridal Makeup Cost in NYC?

This is the question I get asked more than almost any other, usually a few messages into a conversation with a bride who’s just started looking, and usually with a little hesitation, like it’s an awkward thing to ask. It’s not. Pricing should be one of the easiest parts of planning your wedding beauty, so here’s a straightforward answer.

The short version: my NYC day rate (covering the bride plus two members of your wedding party, with touch-ups throughout the day and all communication from the moment you book through your wedding day) starts at $3,000. If your morning is more compact, a half-day package (bride + 2, up to three hours) is $1,500. A trial, where we find your exact look together before the big day, is $400, and I always recommend booking one. Beyond the bride and her two, additional bridal party members are $250 each if you’d like them done by me, only if I have time and the bride approves it, and if the day runs long, extra touch-up time beyond the ceremony is billed at $250 an hour. Gratuity isn’t included in any of these.

What actually changes the price

Trial vs. no trial. A trial is where we sit down together and find your exact look before the wedding. I always recommend one. It’s the difference between hoping your wedding morning goes well and knowing it will.

Travel and location. On-location service (getting ready at home, a hotel, or a venue) is standard, but weddings outside Manhattan (like the Hamptons, where my day rate is $3,500 with travel built in) are priced a little differently to account for that.

Timing. Early call times, a larger bridal party, or holiday-weekend dates can shift pricing. Availability during peak wedding season (spring and fall in NYC) books up fast.

What’s included. Ask whether touch-ups, gratuity, and travel are included or billed separately. This is where quotes that look similar on the surface can end up pretty different. Mine keeps my focus on the bride plus two, so I can give your day my full attention rather than splitting it across a large group.

What I’d tell a friend

Get a trial. Ask what happens if your wedding runs long. And book earlier than feels necessary. The artists you’re comparing quotes from right now are the same ones getting booked out six-plus months ahead for peak dates.

If you want to talk through what your day actually needs (bridal party size, ceremony time, venue), reach out here and I’ll walk you through real numbers for your date.
